Reds Suffer Heavy Home Defeat in First Leg
Much-changed Liverpool were stunned by Serie A's sixth-placed side Atalanta at Anfield on Thursday night as the Italians cruised to a 3-0 first-leg lead in their Europa League quarter-final tie.
The Reds were beaten at Anfield in the first leg of the quarter-final tie by goals from Gianluca Scamacca (two) and Mario Pasalic.
Liverpool are looking to send Jurgen Klopp home with a championship finish but face a stiff task after this heavy home defeat. The Reds will now need to score at least four goals at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia in the second leg on April 14 to have any chance of reaching the semi-finals.
